Counsels From The Word of Righteousness (Part 6).

Dearly Beloved Saints,

The following inspired thoughts were born while ruminating around the word of righteousness.

  1. The medium through which all fears are conveyed are thoughts; thoughts about tomorrow; thoughts that little children don’t take because living a day at a time is still natural to them and the hope of this world hasn’t been born in them. Fear breeds wherever we don’t put faith first; whenever we are not prepared to count losses or delay a gratification; even while tenaciously holding faith (Matt. 6:24-34, 1 Tim. 3:9).
  2. This world has been designed to ensure that, except a man is holding the mystery of faith with a good conscience, whatsoever he is doing would not just be a source of his livelihood but the source of his life (Lk. 12:15). It would be his soul’s source of hope, confidence, peace, security, etc. rather than the Lord; to the degree to which Christ hasn’t become his authority (power) for living (Jn. 1:11-12).
  3. From the early Church age till date, the first reaction to a new wave of biblical truth is to rather hold unto a familiar truth or to a partial light that couldn’t have confronted some darkness within us. Fresh truths usually builds on a previous light and puts it in its true perspective (Prov. 4:18). So, if a new truth hasn’t successfully confronted an idol in us or gotten us initially reserved or angry; then, it most likely hasn’t made us free and we may end up confronting it if we continue to be neutral to it (John 8:31-32, 2 Thes. 2:10).
  4. A believer can have a lot of knowledge around biblical issues or subjects, yet would have issues discerning things spiritually – as long as he has had issues with submission; with serving men whom God brought their way to deal with an independent spirit/nature (1Cor. 2:15). Knowledge would remain information and won’t translate to revelation (profiting) if we have escaped that process whereby Christ was also given to Jesus (Lk. 2:51-52). So, the measure of Christ’s life we have can be traceable to how well we have submitted to God through men; and have thereby become meek (Exo. 3:1, Num. 12:3).
  5. Our ability to successfully trust the Lord for a natural, personal or non-personal need is not necessarily a proof of being spiritual. Rather, it’s our ability to still trust and follow the Lord, should He seem not to address such a need, or our ability to rather esteem the soul saving experience(s) that surrounds delays and seeming denials to our prayers (Job 13:15, Luk. 9:59-62, Heb. 11:35).
  6. The only thing that untimely death doesn’t understand is the leading of the Spirit. It is a mystery to that misery; the only known graceful cheater of death. And when death finally shows up to one who has lived by the leading of the Spirit, it finds out that they have actually only fallen asleep (Acts 7:60,1 Cor. 15:20, 1 Thes. 4:13).
  7. A wise pregnant woman is always careful of what she takes; always watchful and wary of the environment she exposes herself to and always mindful of things that can affect the formation of her baby. So also would the company of overcomers whom the Lord is raising across the earth be; those who would carry the glory of the Son of God – having entertained His appearances (Heb. 9:28). They would carefully carry Jesus in the first trimester of the spirit, have Christ formed in them in the next, and end up inheriting the Son and Father (Jn. 17:3, Jn. 14:23, 1 Jn. 1:3).

Blessings!
