… An Appraisal On Why Warfare Is Imminent For Those Who’ll Remain Sincere With Christ’s Faith.
Dearly Beloved,
As long as this world remains, there would always be forceful impressions from thoughts that resonate in us when we see, hear, thirst, smell and touch; which in turn paints a picture that a carnal mind would always interpret as ‘LIFE’! This is a sharp contrast of OUR TRUE LIFE which according to 1Jn. 1:1 must be Heard, Seen, Looked Upon and ultimately Handled.
If we are to lay hold on OUR TRUE LIFE(A), we would need to fight our way through every formation of the enemy and one of the weapons we must use to quell fiery darts (thoughts) that can inflame our minds is the shield of faith – one that a maturing believer is meant to sincerely bear.
- Col. 3:3-4 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear (i.e. each time Christ is revealed or made manifest), then shall ye also appear with him in glory. #Nothing_Earthly_Is_Our_Life. #It_Takes_Some_Decades_For_Our_Life_To_Be_Revealed_By_God’s_Spirit
God won’t expose a young believer to the spiritual warfare stated in Eph. 6:12 because he can’t handle the weaponry detailed in Eph. 6:14-17 and also remains ignorant of the wiles of the devil(B). Though he may cast out devils and heal the sick like Judas Ischariot once did(C), he can’t wrestle with the least of these rebel holders(D) but because the person of truth hasn’t been adequately revealed to him.
- Jn. 21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old (matured), thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another (the Holy Spirit) shall gird thee (with the belt of truth) and carry thee whither thou wouldest not (coming into oath by completing the course of “not my will but thine oh God”)
- Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle (with the weaponry detailed in Eph. 6:14-17) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. #Every_Other_Weapon_Not_Deplored_Through_God_Lacks_Might_And_Cant_Prevail (2Cor. 10:4)
Interestingly, Apostle Paul gave the above counsel about a decade after the church had been planted; after he had weeded false doctrines and worldly practices on his previous missionary trip. He had given a two-year intensive teaching in one School of Tyrannus where he nurtured believers to become tender-hearted and sincere(E) and this was the basis for which he prayed that THE EYES OF THEIR HEARTS WOULD RECEIVE LIGHT TO KNOW THE TRUTH – WHICH MADE WARFARE IMMINENT(F)
So the warfare stated in Ephesians 6:14-17 is non-negotiable for any believer that is being prepared to overcome the world and attain sonship! It is not a warfare of the Outer Court where those who still SEEK GOD FOR THINGS can use the authority (first commission) that was placed upon the name of Jesus to cast out devils. Rather, it’s an experience of the Holy Place where those SEEKING GOD FOR GOD are being instructed by the seven Spirits of the Lord about His new name (authority/nature) which Jesus inherited as he attained perfection(G)
When this warfare begins, fiery darts would be hurled at us to distract us from fighting the good fight of faith(H) – the fight to keep every life that was accumulated via previous learning of Christ(I).
- Rom. 10:16-17 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report (the reproach aspect of the conversations that led Jesus to the cross – Isa. 53:2-9). So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (i.e the faith of the New Testament comes by hearing the glorified Christ and learning what His Father revealed to him in his first three decades – things that empowered him to overcome the world and that also certified him a son at Jordan)(J)
Fiery darts are fiery thoughts that fallen spirits begin to hurl at believers after the eyes of their spiritual understanding gets enlightened to the realm of truth. Their intent here is to get us to take–well-dressed-thoughts of what the world’s wisdom calls “our life” and thereby renounce our hold(K) on truths that has been revealed unto us.
Such thoughts are darts that excite or provoke us to sin, promote division and think only of ourselves(L). Such evil thoughts are always shot into areas where we can personally be inflamed by the lust of the flesh/eyes or pride of life(M). They inflame our minds, induce sudden temptations and furious suggestions to do wrong and also enkindle the worst passions. We can ONLY prevail against such thoughts if we are sincerely yielded to the lifestyle of the faith that is in Christ – a life that seeks not his own.
May our hearts become established in Christ’s Grace so we can stand (N) until we become accustomed to the whole armor of God and are counted worthy by the Lord to withstand the devil in the evil day(O), Amen.
